MocklyAPI.com is a Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) platform that that provide mock APIs, JSON datasets, and backend schemas. The Service is intended to assist developers, product managers, and QA engineers in accelerating product development, prototyping, and testing before a production backend is available.

The Service is intended for development and testing phases of your applications. It is NOT intended for use in production applications or for storing critical, sensitive data.

3. Account Registration

To access our service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  1. Provide accurate, current, and complete information during the registration process.
  2. Maintain the security of your password and accept all risks of unauthorized access to your account.
  3. Notify us immediately if you discover or suspect any security breaches related to the Service.

You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account.

4. AI-Powered Data Generation

Our Service leverages third-party Large Language Models (LLMs), including Google's Gemini, to generate data. By using our Service, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

4.1. Nature of AI Output

Artificial Intelligence is probabilistic and non-deterministic. While we strive for high-quality outputs, the Service may occasionally generate:

  • Inaccurate or nonsensical data ("hallucinations").
  • Data that require manual adjustment.
  • Mock data that may inadvertently resemble real-world entities purely by coincidence.

You agree that you are solely responsible for reviewing, verifying, and testing any API, code, or data generated by the Service before incorporating it into your application.

4.2. No Reliance

The content generated by MocklyAPI.com is provided "AS IS." We make no guarantees regarding the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of the AI-generated data.

4.3. Third-Party Processing

Your prompts, schemas, and descriptions are processed by third-party AI providers (e.g., Google Cloud Vertex AI / Gemini). By using the Service, you grant us and our third-party providers the right to process your inputs solely for the purpose of generating the requested response.

5. Acceptable Use Policy

You agree not to use the Service to:

  • Generate Malicious Content: Create APIs or data intended to facilitate or promote spam, phishing or social-engineering attacks, malware, viruses, ransomware, botnets, denial-of-service (DoS) attacks, hacking or exploitation attempts, fraud, scams, identity theft, or the distribution of harmful, abusive, adult or hateful content.
  • Reverse Engineering: Attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the underlying software or AI prompts used by MocklyAPI.com.
  • High-Risk Use: Use the Service for activities where the failure of the API could lead to death, personal injury, or environmental damage (e.g., medical devices, nuclear facilities, air traffic control).
  • Sensitive Data Storage: Use the Service to store, process, or generate real Personally Identifiable Information (PII), Protected Health Information (PHI), or financial data (credit card numbers). All data generated should be treated as fictitious mock data.
  • Competition: Build a competitive product or service that replicates the core functionality of MocklyAPI.com.

6. Intellectual Property Rights

6.1. Platform Ownership

MocklyAPI.com and its original content (excluding user-generated content), features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of MocklyAPI.com and its licensors.

6.2. User Ownership of Output

Subject to your compliance with these Terms and payment of applicable fees, you own all rights, title, and interest in the Output (the specific mock API schemas and JSON data) generated by the Service in response to your inputs. You are free to use this Output for commercial and non-commercial projects.

7. Subscription and Billing

  • Pricing: Services are offered under various subscription plans. Prices are subject to change with notice.
  • Payments: Fees are billed in advance on a [Monthly/Annual] basis.
  • Taxes: You are responsible for all applicable taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities.

8. Cancellation and Termination

  • Cancellation: You may cancel your subscription at any time via your account dashboard. Your access to paid features will continue until the end of your current billing cycle.
  • Termination by Us: We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, if you breach these Terms.

9. Warranties and Disclaimers

The service is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis.

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, MocklyAPI.com disclaims all warranties, express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

We do not warrant that:

  1. The service will function uninterrupted, secure, or available at any particular time or location.
  2. Any errors or defects will be corrected.
  3. The results of using the service (including AI-generated API responses) will meet your requirements or be free of errors.

10. Limitation of Liability

In no event shall MocklyAPI.com, its directors, employees, partners, agents, suppliers, or affiliates, be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including without limitation, loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses, resulting from:

  1. Your access to or use of or inability to access or use the service.
  2. Any conduct or content of any third party on the service.
  3. Any content obtained from the service (including AI errors).
  4. Unauthorized access, use, or alteration of your transmissions or content.

OUR TOTAL LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ANY CLAIMS ARISING OUT OF THIS AGREEMENT SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US IN THE PAST TWELVE (12) MONTHS.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless MocklyAPI.com and its licensee and licensors, and their employees, contractors, agents, officers, and directors, from and against any and all claims, damages, obligations, losses, liabilities, costs or debt, and expenses (including but not limited to attorney's fees), resulting from or arising out of:

  1. Your use and access of the Service.
  2. A breach of these Terms.
  3. Any generated content you use that infringes on the rights of a third party (though unlikely with mock data, this covers edge cases).

12. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of Sri Lanka, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.
